Weddings at Econiche House

ECONICHE HOUSE IN-THE-GATINEAU is a splendid locale for a wedding - spring, summer, fall or winter. Our unique concept of a "whole weekend" wedding celebration blends well with real cost savings. As a residential facility, we offer our package to couples who are planning to have twenty five guests or more staying over for Friday and Saturday nights.

Image welcoming your guests Friday night after dinner to sit around the pool or fireplace with a glass of wine or a beer so they can renew old acquantances or meet others for the first time in a relaxed, laid back atmosphere.  You will have time to decorate, putting your own personal touches to create the atmosphere of your dreams. Imagine being able to have a dip in the pool in summer, or in the hot tubs in winter, play a guitar by our firepit outdoors watching the sunset, or just hanging out in one of our several lounge areas. You'll go to bed relaxed and ready to enjoy your big day.

 A full breakfast is served Saturday morning, as is a lunch at mid-day, leading up to the ceremony (here or elsewhere) and reception and dinner, with dancing if desired. The newly married couple can retire to the V.I.P. suite, furnished with 1870's mahogany Canadiana furniture, enjoy a jaccuzzi and their own privacy. No problems having to hurry away or with drinking and driving as guests settle in cozily until Sunday brunch before winding their way home.

Cost Concious Considerations:
 For a start, you will find our prices for wedding meals very competitive with other facilities. Add to this the fact that you can bring and serve your own alcohol and save on supplier mark-ups. Your group will have our entire building and property to yourselves for an entire weekend for the cost of an evening in a downtown hotel. With our residential package, your guests will save by having their meals and accommodation looked after at rates comparable to any hotel but without extra charges, bar bills and with the advantage of having a more personal place to relax with other guests.

Wedding Dinner Prices
Our highly-professional Canadian certified chef, Gilbert Thibert and his staff will serve your wedding feast in a beautifully laid-out buffet style. Our menu ranges from $38.50 to $49.00 per plate. Wine and other alcoholic beverages are your responsibility (and thus your saving).
